Hey there, my name is Marily! I’m a UX designer based in Vancouver BC. I like to keep things active - dancing, running, and tennis are my faves right now! Working a bit of creativity into my every day is important to me as well. Lately I'm enjoying still life sketching, abstract painting, and creative writing.

I grew up in Salmon Arm, BC, a small town of about 10,000 people. I started bussing tables when I was 15, moved my way up to serving at 16. I’ve taken those skills with me to every city I’ve lived - Kelowna, Victoria, Vancouver. Serving has been an incredible job to have in my back pocket. This helped me develop the ability to anticipate people’s needs, keep my cool under extreme stress, and I got to meet some incredible people. I'm grateful for my time in the service industry and the friends I've made along the way but it's time for me to make some life moves that align with my goals.

I like to add a touch of my personality to my portfolio and designs by adding my personal drawings and sketches. I have a strong work ethic and an easy going personality. I’m confident enough to hear criticism and roll with it. You can shape me into whatever type of designer you need and I’ll be sure to show up every day with a great attitude and an eagerness to learn.
